The last few years have seen real progress in the use of nutrients and functional medical tests for adjunctive cancer treatments. There are many published research studies and articles which scientifically establish the benefits and SCM only uses well-studied supplements. For example, one product that we use is proven to increase the effectiveness of chemotherapy and radiotherapy by as much as 85% and reduce the side effects by as much as 50%. SCM does not aim to replace conventional treatment but to it enhance its effectiveness. Many cancer patients want holistic treatment along with their

However, the cost of supplements and laboratory testing can be a financial burden so the Society for Complementary Medicine has established the Holistic Cancer Support and Research Fund. We engage in fundraising activities to raise money to sponsor cancer patients. Currently, many of the people who benefit from our charitable support are children with cancer. We are always grateful for any donations to this fund. On the 24th September 2009, The Sunflower Jam is dedicating its proceeds to the Holistic Cancer Support Fund.
